June 1 The Greatest Love Of All by George Benson. #24 in 1977. From the movie "The Greatest" starring Muhammad Ali.

June 2 Crocodile Rock by Elton John. #1 for three weeks in 1972.

June 3 For The Love Of Him by Bobbi Martin. #13 Pop and a #1 Adult Contemporary hit in 1970.

June 4 Bungle In The Jungle by Jethro Tull. #12 in 1974.

Earth, Wind & Fire Week

 Earth, Wind & Fire was inducted into the Musically Speaking Hall of Fame in 2008. They won the R & B category. They were voted in by our Facebook fans.

June 5 Got To Get You Into My Life: A #9 Pop hit and #1 R&B hit in 1978. Written by the Beatles. From the movie "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

June 6 September: A #8 Pop hit and #1 R&B hit in 1978. This song, to this day, is one of the 200 most requested songs nationally, according to dee jays and Mobile Beat magazine.

June 7 Boogie Wonderland: A #6 Pop hit in 1979. They got a little help from The Emotions on this one.

June 8 Sing A Song: Was a #5 Pop hit and a #1 R&B hit for two weeks in 1975.

June 9 Let's Groove: A #3 Pop hit for 5 weeks and a #1 R&B hit for 8 weeks in 1981.

June 10 After The Love Is Gone: A #2 Pop hit in 1979.

June 11 Shining Star: A #1 Pop and R&B hit in 1975. Check out the version by Christian Heavy Metal group Stryper.

June 12 The Theme from the TV show Cheers. Where Everybody Knows Your Name Written by Gary Portney. This was the winner of our TV Theme songs category.

June 13 Monster Mash by Bobby "Boris" Pickett & The Crypt-Kickers. Winner of our "Novelty" category. In 1962 this song went to #1 on the Pop chart for two weeks. In 1973 It made the charts again peaking at #10. In 2009 it was inducted into our Hall of Fame.

June 14 Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. In 1978 Clapton took this song to #16. Since then it has become one of the most requested songs at wedding receptions. In 2010 it won our "Songs Of The 70's" category.
