Recently I was listening to the radio and the new Britney Spears song, Hold It Against Me", came on. Because of my age, ^#, I remember the old Bellamy Brothers #1 Country song "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me."

Fox News reported that the Bellamy Brothers may be sueing Ms. Spears for plagiarism. Some of the lyrics are similar but not nearly enough to be sueing over. It's been 32 years since the Bellamy Brothers came out with their song and in my opinion should be happy that anyone still remembers enough of it to make the comparison.

If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me has been a popular pickup line since, at least, the early 60's and the Bellamy Brothers have no claim to it. Howard and David should give up the suit and enjoy the new found interest in their version.
